Alan has been a professional musician since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1985. He joined the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 1995.
He has worked extensively in the theatre, playing in many musicals, both in the West End and on national tours. He is also a Musical Director, and has conducted ‘The Sound of Music’ in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother at Sadler's Wells Theatre.
During 2011, Alan has played 1st trumpet in ‘Sweet Charity’ (Theatre Royal, Haymarket), ‘Lend Me A Tenor’ (Gielgud), ‘Hair’ (Ljubljana Festival) and ‘A Chorus Line’ (Opera House, Tel Aviv).
Alan has performed many times on radio and television, and is frequently to be seen in London's recording studios. He can also be heard worldwide in shops and hotels, due to his many ‘Muzak’ type appearances!
