The Trumpets
Alan Berlyn

Alan has been a
professional musician since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and
Drama in 1985 and joined the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 1995. One of his
first engagements was at the Cabaret of the Casino in Monte Carlo. He then went
on to do several short trips on the cruise ships QE2 and Canberra. He
has worked extensively in the theatre, playing in many musicals, both in the
West End and on national tours. He is also a Musical Director, and has
conducted a performance "The Sound of Music" in the presence of Her
Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother at Sadler's Wells Theatre. Alan
has performed many times on Radio and Television, and is frequently to be seen
in London's recording studios. He can also be heard worldwide in shops
and hotels, due to his many "Muzak" type appearances! Alan
has recently taught himself to play the alto saxophone - "I may not be
Charlie Parker, but I can knock out a tune!", and is currently 'struggling'
with the violin. He has been a music copyist since he was at college,
and in this capacity has provided scores and parts for many great artists and
orchestras.
